On 28th December 2019, INIFD Ahmedabad’s second year students organised an event on “Avant Garde” and “Advance draping garments”.
Fashion, as the world knows is not just limited to daily wear only, a niche exists, overlapping art and fashion. INIFD Ahmedabad students of second year presented their “Avant Garde” and “Advance draping garments”.
Popularly referred as wearable art, these garments are made of non-textile material with varying flow. The garments and accessories made in non-textile material as wearable art are either seen on ramp or as part of dramatic performances, often portrayed as a philosophy. Visual merchandising as a career option is growing in fashion industry for which material handling is an important task which our students have mastered.
Students also presented the advanced draping garments which is made out of pleating and twisting technique.
We are proud to announce that all the (wearable art) garments are made under budget of 150-500 rupees only, as they are majorly made out of waste materials / Plastic and hence spreading awareness about plastic pollution all around. be aware and save the planet.
Students enjoyed the entire event and explored new creation under the guidance of Ms. Zeel Panchal and Ms. Meeta Panchal [Faculties of Fashion design].
